As of Febuary 1, 2008 an ordinance concerning working foreigners in Poland without the necessity of obtaining working permit becomes effective. The ordinance states that Ukrainians, Byelorussians and Russians can work in Poland for half a year incessantly, not as it had been before for 3 months. Ministry of Labour and Social Policy claims that further liberalisation of Polish labour law may be implemented. Minister Jolanta Fedak underlined that before further steps in his field will be taken Polish Government has to analyse whether there is a possibility of satisfying employers needs through occupational development of unemployed. Reducing unemployment rate is a priority for the government.
